This particular castle has a very cool yellow-to-gray fade and intricate detailing all the way down to the individual bricks. It would add a bright pop of color to any tank, especially one that already has yellow fish in it.

This one is a discontinued design from Underwater Galleries which they called the “Romanian Castle.” It is unglazed, which makes it much more amenable to allowing things like mosses to attach and grow on it. If you have any shy fish, they will appreciate the two swim-throughs and one hide that this castle provides.
This castle is BIG. Make sure to double check the dimensions before you try to put it in a nano tank!

Poecilia reticulata
We now have beautiful Japan Tropical Sky Guppies available! These bloodlines come from PK Endlers. Unlike a lot of guppies you'll see in stores, this variety is not a genetic mess because it hasn't been inbred on a commercial scale. These are exceptionally healthy because they have been raised naturally outdoors swimming in the California sunshine and eating bugs.
Males are a shimmering blue/yellow/orange and develop a truly impressive lyretail as they grow older. The females are no slouches either! They come in sparkly shades ranging from peach to gold. All of them glitter in natural sunlight.
Care Instructions: Guppies prefer a temperature of 72–78°F, a pH between 7.0 and 8.0, and moderately hard to hard water. That being said, they are extremely resilient and can thrive in many different environments. They do well on normal tropical fish foods.
Size: Females are considerably larger than males. They range between 1” - 3”.
A trio includes one male and two females bred in-house at Happy Clam Aquatics.
Live Fish
Oryzias latipes
Medaka, or Japanese Rice Fish, are a beautiful ornamental fish that have been bred in Japan for over four hundred years. They are a popular nano fish among fish keepers due to their unbeatable hardiness and incredible beauty and variety. With almost five hundred registered strains, chances are they come in a color, shape, or fin that you’ll love! If you don’t have the space for a koi pond, these spectacular little fish are the next best thing.
The Platinum Miyuki is one of the most popular strains in the US. Platinum refers to the color, which is a sparkling bluish-white, and Miyuki is the name for this particular fin shape. From above, the white backs of these fish glitter and sparkle in the sun, making them a top contender for anyone looking for a beautiful pond fish. This strain is also very well established and stable, so it breeds true with minimal intervention.
Care Instructions: Medaka do best in outdoor pond or pond patio setups. They thrive in rice paddies in Japan, which experiences all four seasons similar to the Eastern United States. Their ideal temperature is about 60°F - 75°F, however they can tolerate anywhere between 32°F - 93°F. If you are keeping them indoors, no heater is required. They are not picky about food and will happily eat most types of tropical fish flakes and pellets. The more variety you can provide, the better.
Size: Most medaka max out between 1.25” to 1.5”.

Viviparus malleattus
Looking for a cleanup crew that is beautiful and reproduces only occasionally? Take a look at Japanese Trapdoor Snails! They will help keep your tank clean by eating leftover fish food, algae, and dead plants.
An interesting quirk of these snails is that they’re livebearing, meaning their young are birthed like fully formed miniatures of the adults. If you don’t like Mystery Snails laying eggs all over your tank, this is a huge plus! They start off as small brown snails and often develop a pretty turquoise color on the tips of their shells as they age.
Care Instructions: They thrive in freshwater indoor aquariums, but are also hardy enough to be added to outdoor ponds in most regions. Their preferred temperature range is 68°F to 85°F, but they can hibernate in colder temperatures. PH should be between 6.5 and 8.0. These snails are scavengers and can subsist off most algae, plant matter, and fish food.

Plants & Botanicals
Bruguiera Gymnorhiza
Mangroves are a hardy semi-aquatic plant that can thrive in almost any aquarium as long as the top of the plant is not submerged. They are one of the few plants that can happily grow in saltwater, brackish water, and freshwater. In addition to decorating your tank, they help keep your water clean by filtering out nitrates. This is a great beginner plant for anyone new to aquascaping. Just give it some light and watch it grow!
What makes the Orange (aka “Oriental”) Mangrove unique? These have the best flowers of any of the mangrove species! They range from orange to pink to red, and are by far the showiest (especially compared to their Red cousin).
Orange Mangroves also have the largest leaves of any mangrove species, and start putting out impressive foliage at a younger age. If the Red variety is too slow for you, you might find the quicker growth of the Orange more satisfying.

Platycerium Bifurcatum
This freshly mounted Staghorn Fern is on a 9" x 3" piece of Eucalyptus bark and is ready to hang on your wall! The average leaf on this plant is 6", with the exception of the longest one which is 8".

Spathiphyllum wallisii
Peace Lilies are lovely houseplants! They are shade tolerant, hardy, bloom regularly, and are good at filtering air. Their biggest “quirk” is the dramatic way they wilt when they’re thirsty. They will flop over as if they are on death’s door, only to perk back up a few hours after watering! While this behavior is a bit silly, it makes them very beginner friendly because they send a very clear message when they are thirsty. This particular plant has already been cleaned and acclimated so it is ready to go straight in your aquarium!
Care Instructions: Place in a spot that gets bright, indirect sunlight. In an aquarium, make sure the roots are below the water and leaves are dry and above the water line.

Hedera helix 'English Ivy’
This handmade ceramic pot is shaped like a seashell and has a beautiful white glaze. It is planted with a fast-growing, easy-to-care-for English Ivy. This would make a great house warming or birthday present for someone who loves beachy vibes!

Euphorbia lactea variegata ‘White Ghost’
This rare little cactus is the ghostly version of the more common Dragon Bone Cactus. It gets its name from its appearance, which in the sun looks like bleached out dragon bones. Very cool! This particular cactus has been paired with a very flattering ceramic pot to show off its unusual coloration.

Care Instructions: Allow to dry out completely and water occasionally like a normal cactus, roughly every two weeks or so. Place it in bright, indirect sun or weak morning/afternoon sun. Because this cactus is so pale, it should be kept out of harsh midday sunlight to prevent burns.

Phalaenopsis spp.
The world’s most popular orchid, now mounted on a beautiful piece of driftwood! This would make a wonderful birthday gift or housewarming gift for the plant lover in your life. This one comes with a string on the back so that it can be hung right out of the box.
Contrary to common misconceptions, orchids are not hard to take care of when they aren’t suffering from poor growing conditions! In nature, they are epiphytes, which means they like to grow attached to other trees where they can get lots of ventilation and drainage along with indirect sunlight. Most orchids perish because they get root bound in the plastic pots they are sold in and then develop root rot when they are inevitably overwatered.

Care Instructions: This plant prefers bright, indirect sunlight. Allow to dry out completely in between waterings. Soak in water for 30 minutes every one to two weeks to rehydrate. NO ICE CUBES EVER! Once the flowers have been spent, cut back the flower spike. This will encourage the plant to re-bloom later. Fertilize with orchid fertilizer to encourage growth.
